A Chicago high-rise is the scene of a terrifying murder charge. Police have officially charged Adam Beckerink with first-degree murder. This follows the fatal fall of his estranged wife, Caitlin Tracey. She died a year ago.
Her body was discovered at the base of a stairwell inside the luxury South Loop condo building where Beckerink lived. The fall was a horrific twenty-four stories.
Complaint Details Alleged Action
The tragedy occurred in October 2024. The new criminal complaint alleges Beckerink threw Tracey over a railing on October 25th.
Caitlin Tracey’s body was found two days later. The incident follows a troubled history. Beckerink had previously pleaded no contest to domestic violence charges in Michigan involving Tracey.
Police had questioned him after her death last year. He had reported Tracey missing the day before her body was found. He was eventually released without charges at that time.
