Now all birth and death entries will be made directly on the CRS Portal (Civil Registration System) of the Central Government.

Birth-Death Registration is now mandatory on CRS Portal

The state’s Health and Medical Services Department has made an official announcement regarding this new system. The department said that the CRS Portal will be fully operational from 12 noon. For this, all registrars at the district and city level have been given special training. Also, the staff of government and private hospitals have also been trained to use the new system.

The aim of the new system is to make Birth-Death Registration easier, faster and transparent. The Government of India team will monitor this change through digital medium and if any kind of problem arises, it will be resolved immediately.

Citizens will get great convenience

The government says that the CRS Portal will make centralized and accurate data management of all records possible. The process of connecting all hospitals in urban areas to the portal is going on at a fast pace. Meanwhile, offices will remain open even on the holiday on August 31 to avoid any inconvenience to the citizens.

Experts believe that this change will make citizen services more accessible digitally and will improve the monitoring and transparency of Birth-Death Records.
