Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter gets smarter

India’s EV market is growing rapidly and electric scooter companies are introducing new innovations. In this episode, Ather Energy has made its premium Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter more advanced. The company has added a new Infinity Cruise Control system to it, which has been launched in the Indian market for the first time.

This new update was introduced during Ather Community Day 2025 in Bengaluru. From now on, all new units of Ather 450 Apex will get this feature, while old customers will get it through OTA (Over-The-Air) update.

What is Infinity Cruise Control?

This new cruise control system of Ather has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian roads and traffic. It has three modes –

City Cruise: Maintains a speed of up to 90 km/h on city roads and adjusts itself when braking or speed changes.

Hill Cruise: Makes climbing and descending hilly roads easier. Also provides regenerative braking with Magic Braking System.

Crawl Control: Provides a smooth ride even at low speeds like 10 km/h on bad or rough roads. Multi-mode Traction Control is also present in it.

Battery and performance

The Ather 450 Apex has a 3.7 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 157 km on a single charge. Its 7 kW motor produces 9.39 bhp of power and 26 Nm of torque. This scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 100 km/h.

Features and price

This premium electric scooter is available at a price of Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets a 7-inch TFT screen, Google Maps navigation, 34-litre under-seat storage and 22-litre front storage.

The design is minimalistic and it competes with electric two-wheelers like Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube ST, River Indie, Revolt RV400, Ultraviolette Tesseract and Oben Rorr.
